I know I use blue all the time, but come on! Look at that blue! Used the Urban Decay Electric palette over Nyx eyeshadow base in white to make the colors pop. Completed this dramatic blue wing with blue mascara from Diorshow.
Second, the face and lips.
4th of Julyyyyyy! Had to go big for America’s birthday! I used my new Urban Decay Electric Palette along with the pale blue from my Sleek i-Divine Ultra Matte brights palette. Red lips really took this outside my comfort zone, but I love how they pulled the whole thing together. All pics taken in natural sunlight except for the last one, which was taken with artificial light. My actual coloring is probably somewhere between the two.
First look with my BRAND NEW Urban Decay Electric Palette! I couldn’t wait for daylight and decent picture-taking light, so here we go with poorly lit orange-ish photographs. They don’t do justic to these beautiful shades.
I also experimented using my Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Eye Shadow in Rainforest Green as the base. Honestly, I haven’t yet been able to figure out this product. Although it dries down well, it feel quite oily applied and seems to crease if I move my eyes even the slightest bit after application. In watching other tutorials with this product, I think I need to apply it on my hand first, and then use a synthetic brush to apply to the lid. I’ll try another look using either Rainforest Green or my purple color soon.
Evening experimentation with a matte teal from my TheBalm Balm Voyage palette.
Finally got a chance to play with my makeup this week, and I went with the ultimate green eye makeup look: reds, oranges, and purples. Please pardon the photography: I just got a new phone and apparently the camera likes to make me look as shiny, orange, and splotchy as possible. I’m still figuring it out.
Products used include:
Urban Decay - Vice 2 - Betrayal
Kat Von D - True Romance Ladybird - orange shade, dark brown shade
Sephora - single red eyeshadow
Stila - black waterproof liquid liner
I absolutely love how this look turned out and I wish that it had photographed better.
My favorite black and white photos from Sarah’s and Sam’s wedding. I love these shots of me doing make up on Hannah and Sarah. The top four photos were taken by Allie Pompeo, who took amazing photos for Sarah and Sam.
The last one isn’t my favorite shot from the wedding, but it’s my favorite one where you can see how I spent the entire ceremony: shielding the bride from the rain and with a smile the whole time. It was taken by Aaron Stiles, Sarah’s and Sam’s other fantastic photographer.
Fun with colors on a Sunday morning! Dave woke me up before 7am so, as per usual, I thought “What better way to pass the time?” And what better colors to play with than my favorite blues and greens, plus a pop of purple?
Used the Vice 2 palette, the Sleek Ultra Mattes Bright palette, and my Stila eyeliner.
